COVID-19/Coronavirus

In continuing efforts to be a reliable resource for visitors, residents, business owners, and our local hospitality and tourism businesses, Visit Simi Valley is posting updates of official information to this page.

Effective August 20, the Ventura County Public Health has issued a new health order requiring all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear face coverings when indoors in public settings, with limited exceptions. This order will take effect at 11:59 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2021. Businesses and other public entities have until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021, to comply. The order will be in effect until 11:59 pm on September 19, 2021, or until it is extended, rescinded, superseded, or amended by the Health Officer.

Individuals, businesses, venue operators, hosts, and others responsible for the operation of indoor public settings must:

  • Require all patrons to wear face coverings for all indoor settings, regardless of their vaccination status; and

  • Post clearly visible and easy-to-read signage at all entry points for indoor settings to communicate the masking requirements to all patrons. Signage is provided by Ventura County Public Health at www.vcrecovers.org.

Please know that our first priority is the health, safety, and well-being of everyone visiting or attending an event that is held in our community. We are frequently engaging with health experts and hospitality industry leaders to provide the very latest information to our partners throughout the area. Some of the additional actions being taken include increased cleaning and disinfecting, ongoing education awareness of staff, and more. We want to ensure that your stay in Simi Valley will be safe, comfortable, and memorable.
