Earth Day Activities

Simi Valley will join in celebrating Earth Day on April 21, 2023! Community activities include a tree planting ceremony at Strathearn Historical Park from 1:30-2:30pm to honor the Busy Hands Garden Club’s contributions to the tree-planting program. Additionally, at Chumash Park from 3:30-5:30pm, there will be park beautification and environmental festivities where the community can participate in planting native plants, replacing bark/ground cover, and partake in activities organized by environmental and water conservation vendors, including the City of Simi Valley. Youth are encouraged to submit two-dimensional art for display at the Earth Day event and are encouraged to send in their artwork by April 18th. There will also be a trail hike and clean-up of the Chumash Trail starting at 4:30pm. These activities aim to promote environmental awareness and encourage the community to take action to protect the planet.
