Photo Contest

Official rules and prize information:

Visit Simi Valley and the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce is seeking photos that illustrate your world of fun in Simi Valley. this can be restaurants, attractions, hiking, biking, parks, etc.

All images must be taken between October 3 – November 15, 2022

Permission for Photography

I grant Visit Simi Valley and The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce “Organizers” and its legal representatives and assigns, the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of me for editorial, trade, advertising, and any other purpose and in any manner or medium; and to alter the same without restriction and without my approval. 

I release Organizers and its legal representatives and assigns from all claims and liability relating to the described photographs. 

Contest Rules

The Visit Simi Valley Photo Contest “Contest” is open to anyone living in Simi Valley. 

Contest dates:  October 3, 2022 through November 15, 2022

Persons under the age of 18 wishing to submit a photograph must have the written permission of parent or legal guardian in order to enter. 

High Resolution Photo is required. 

One winner per person/household. No multiple winners. MUST be a Simi Valley resident.  

All photos MUST be taken in Simi Valley, California between in 2022. 

Photo Release

*by submitting a photo with an identifiable person, you are certifying that you have permission from the subject(s)  to use his/her image.  Please include the name of the persons in the photograph.  Photos containing people without a release will be disqualified.  

Judging

Judges, at their sole discretion, will make 1st, 2nd, 3rd place selections based on quality, composition, content, originality, creativity, and mass appeal. Decisions are final. 

Only winners will be notified of the outcome. A list of winners will be posted on the VisitSimiValley.com website from November 29, 2022 at 5 p.m. PST to December 29, 2022 5 p.m. PST. 

Important Information

By entering, all entrants grant to Organizers the irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide right, currently and in the future, in any media or on any merchandise. to : (i) reproduce, distribute, and display any photo entered in the contest, and (ii) to modify and create derivative works of any photo entered in the contest. 

Entries become the property of Organizers when submitted and will not be returned. 

Organizers may terminate or modify any part of the contest at any time for any reason. 

Organizers may disqualify anyone who violates these Official Rules. 

Visit Simi Valley and Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce Staff, Board Members and members of their families are not eligible to win. 

By entering, all entrants agree to release and indemnify Organizers, its agents and employees from all claims related to the contest and the present or future use of the photos submitted. 

Prizes

1st Place $250 gift card to local store of choice, plus winning photo to be included:

· in a Visit Simi Valley e-newsletter
· published in Visit Simi Valley marketing materials
· on the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce website
· Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce e-newsletter
· Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce marketing materials. 

2nd Place $100 gift card to local store of choice, winning photo to be included: 

· on the Visit Simi Valley website
· in a Visit Simi Valley e-newsletter
· published in Visit Simi Valley marketing materials
· on the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce website
· Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce e-newsletter
· Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce marketing materials. 

3rd Place $75 gift card to local store of choice, winning photo to be included: 

· on the Visit Simi valley website

· published in Visit Simi Valley marketing materials

Prizes may not be transferred. 

Winner Notification

Winners will be notified by November 29, 2022. Prizes must be claimed within 7 days. If a prize is not claimed within 7 days, Organizers reserve the right to select an alternate winner or not award the prize.
