The holiday countdown is on, and Simi Valley knows how to ring in the season. The city has dozens of holiday events this year. From traditional events like the annual tree lighting to more unique activities like Santa’s Tamale Festival, there’s truly an event for everyone.

RedBird’s 26th Annual Blanket Drive

In the spirit of the holidays, a local non-profit hosts an annual blanket, toy, and school supply drive. Redbird, a non-profit dedicated to the awareness and celebration of indigenous cultures, asks for donations to benefit Pine Ridge Indian Reservation of South Dakota.

While dropping off donations, guests are treated to drum circles, dancers, flute playing, and more.

This is the first time that many of these objects have been on public display together.

One of the top Elvis Presley tribute artists in the U.S., Raymond Michael, offers a crowd-pleasing night of songs. Tickets sell out quickly for this annual event, which is held at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. Tickets are $29 for adults, Children 12 and under are $22.
