The 15th Annual Tree Lighting Spectacular

Simi Valley Town Center, Veteran’s Courts
A lot of cities have a tree lighting ceremony, but the one in Simi Valley is a sight to see. Two actors host the event with special performances lined up for hours. Bridget Brady and Jay Jackson will host this year’s event, with performances by Gotta Dance Academy, The Moorpark Jazz Band, and Ballet Folklorico, just to name a few.
In addition, the event includes games, crafts, snow princesses, Santa Claus, and of course, the city’s tree twinkles with hundreds of lights and decorations.
Santa’s Tamale Festival

Stop by Simi Valley Town Center for a taste bud-loving event, Santa’s Tamale Festival. Try a variety of tamales, enjoy an adult beverage at the wine and beer garden, and shop the Christmas boutique. It’s free to attend.
Thanksgiving Day 5K

Burn a few calories before the big meal by racing in the Thanksgiving Day 5k. The race starts at Rancho Simi Valley Park and runs along the Arroyo bike path. The course is mostly flat, shaded, and has great natural scenery.
Wine Glass Workshop

Color Me Vino
Take a break from holiday shopping and stop over to Color Me Vino for a wine glass workshop. Spend some time paining a wine glass for the holidays that looks like the Grinch or a snowman.
Mommy and Me Fingerprint Ornament Set

Take the kids out for a special holiday event at As You Wish Pottery. With a parent’s help, kids will make a fingerprint ornament set that will last for years.
RedBird’s 24th Annual Blanket Drive

In the spirit of the holidays, a local non-profit hosts an annual blanket, toy, and school supply drive. Redbird, a non-profit dedicated to the awareness and celebration of indigenous cultures, asks for donations to benefit Pine Ridge Indian Reservation of South Dakota.
While dropping off donations, guests are treated to drum circles, dancers, flute playing, and more.
Holiday Lunch and Tour of Reagan Library and Museum

Reagan Library
This special holiday event gives visitors a chance to enjoy an upscale lunch and a behind-the-scenes tour of one of Simi Valley’s most visited destinations: The Reagan Library and Museum.
During the tour, guests get to see an Air Force One aircraft, a full-size replica of the Oval Office, and the archives, which house 60 million documents that cover Reagan’s presidency. Tickets are $64 per person and reservations are required.
ELF the Musical

If you’re looking for a holiday laugh, ELF the Musical is just the ticket. The story follows Buddy, a young orphan who crawls into Santa’s bag and is taken to the North Pole. The show runs from December 14 through December 29 at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.
Jingle Bell Hike

Conejo Community Park
Get a little exercise and see Santa at this unique holiday event. Come to Conejo Community Park, walk the trail a quarter mile through the botanical gardens, and find a special visitor at the end of the trail – Santa!
Kids can get their picture taken with Santa, make holiday crafts, and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Registration is required. Tickets are $10/child.
Elvis Blue Christmas

Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center
One of the top Elvis Presley tribute artists in the U.S., Raymond Michael, offers a crowd-pleasing night of songs. Tickets sell out quickly for this annual event, which is held at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. Tickets are $29 for adults, Children 12 and under are $22.
