2026 Events and Festivals in Simi Valley

Simi Valley, located minutes from Los Angeles, marries small town charm with a variety of fun and unique things to do. This year, you can fill your travel itinerary with one-of-a-kind experiences like visiting colorful tulip fields, learning about iconic Hollywood cowboys, sampling locally-made beer, and celebrating the holidays with reindeer! Take a look at this year’s events and festivals in Simi Valley.  

Tulip Garden Experience

Late February – late March, exact dates TBA

Whether you’re looking for the perfect backdrop for your next family photo or simply want to enjoy a unique outdoor experience, the Tulip Garden Experience should be on your spring to-do list. Held on the Underwood Family Farms as soon as the blooms open, which is usually in late February, guests can stroll through fields with 500,000 vibrant tulips. The experience is open daily until the blooms fall, which is typically about a month after the first bloom opens.  

Springtime Easter Festival

Late March – late April, exact dates TBA

Underwood Family Farms hosts an annual Springtime Easter Festival with family-friendly events and activities taking place daily for several weeks towards the end of March. With your admission ticket, you can visit the Easter Bunny, snap holiday-themed pictures, and enjoy many kid-approved activities including hay pyramids, slides, swings, egg-coloring, and animal encounters.  

Cowboys: History and Hollywood at Ronald Reagan Library

Now-April 19, 2026

A special exhibit of America’s most iconic Hollywood cowboys is on display at the Ronald Reagan Library and Museum through mid April. This ticketed exhibit features memorabilia from The Lone Ranger, costumes worn by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, a tour of a cowboy bunkhouse, and a series of saddles from the 1800s. And, you can’t miss the exhibit’s biggest attraction: a Robinson R22 helicopter, which modern cowboys use to round up cattle. 

Round-up Country Music Festival

April 18, 2026

Returning again in 2026, the Round-up Country Music Festival will feature a host of musical acts with a large dance floor to boot-scoot-and-boogie on. Food, wine, and beer vendors have your favorite eats and drinks on tap, while local groups stand ready to teach you the latest line dancing moves. Hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley, events start at Noon.

Junk in the Trunk

April 25, 2026

If you love hunting for treasures, this event is for you. Browse close to 50 vendors each selling unique treats and trinkets at Junk in the Trunk. The event goes from 8:00am-12:00pm in the Rancho Santa Susana Community Center parking lot. Be sure to bring cash, some vendors aren’t set up to take credit cards. If you miss the event in April, be on the lookout for additional dates in September and October.

Happy Face Music Festival

May 23, 2026

Grab you chairs and blankets and plan to jump start your summer with the Happy Face Music Festival. While live music is the event’s highlight, there’s plenty to see and do. Kids can enjoy games and activities while grownups can stroll through the beer garden.

Movies in the Park

May – August, exact dates TBA

Looking for a fun, outdoor event that will wow your kids this summer? Head to Rancho Madera Community Park to catch a movie on a 30-foot inflatable screen. Movie nights are typically held on a Friday evening. Movies start at dusk, but you can arrive around 6:30pm for activities and games that are themed to match the night’s movie. 

Dive In Movie Nights

June – July, exact dates TBA

With Dine In Movie Nights you get to enjoy a unique poolside event and cool off at the same time. Hosted by the Rancho Simi Recreation Park District, you can expect several Dive In Movie Nights throughout the summer, each night has a special theme, local food, and a kid-approved movie.

Simi’s Endless Summer Beer Fest

Make plans to come out for the 7th annual Simi’s Endless Summer Beer Fest at Rancho Simi Community Park. Tickets include unlimited tastings from 24 local craft breweries with 50+ ciders, beers, and seltzers to sample. This event, held for adults only, supports local charities and is hosted by the Rotary Club of Simi Sunset.

Music in the Park

June – August, exact dates TBA

Typically held on the third Saturday of June, July, and August, Music in the Park is a great -FREE- way to enjoy a summer evening. Concerts start at 6:30pm. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket, chairs, and small picnic to enjoy. 

Star-Spangled Rock & Country Jam and Fireworks Celebration

July 4, 2026

The Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley hosts an annual Fourth of July celebration you don’t want to miss. The event combines foot-stomping music, food and craft vendors, a kids’ zone, and a spectacular fireworks display all held at the Rancho Santa Susana Community Park. Admission is free, but you may need to pay for parking.

Fourth of July at the Reagan Library 

July 4, 2026

Celebrate America’s birthday on the South Lawn of the Reagan Library. The event includes live music, several presidential look-alikes floating through the crowd, face painting, lawn games, presidential BINGO, and more. Admission to all outdoor activities is free. If you wish to tour inside, there is an admission fee. 

Water Lantern Festival

August, exact date TBD

Admission to this event includes access to food trucks, live music, activities, and a DIY lantern kit. Enjoy a bite to eat on a picnic blanket, listen to some local tunes, and spend some time designing your lantern. Your lantern can celebrate a loved one, a milestone event, or even represent a wish for the upcoming year. Simi Valley is one of 150+ cities across the nation to host a Water Lantern Festival, which is usually held in August. 

Fall Harvest Festival

Late September – October, exact dates TBA

Wind your way through a corn maze, enjoy a tractor-drawn wagon ride, and watch a pig race – all at the Fall Harvest Festival. The event, held at Underwood Family Farms, runs for about a month through October. You can visit during the week or explore themed weekend events, like Antique Tractor Weekend or Wild West Weekend. You’ll pay an admission fee to enjoy all on-site activities.  

Simi Valley Oktoberfest

Break out your lederhosen, it’s time for Oktoberfest! Lemon Park transforms into a Bavarian village complete with beer steins and bratwurst. Touted as the largest Oktoberfest in California, this annual party draws a crowd – and for good reason. Live entertainment, plenty of German-inspired food, and with VIP tickets, free beer refills.

Simi Valley Street Fair

May & October, exact dates TBA

The Simi Valley Street Fair is an annual fall event that showcases all the community has to offer. The street is lined with 300+ crafters, artists, businesses, and food vendors, each with something unique to share, offer, or sell. Once you’ve wandered through all of the booths, you can check out live music, demonstrations, and kid-friendly activities. The event is hosted by the Simi Valley Chamber.

Snowfest

Ready to experience a winter wonderland? Head to Rancho Madera Community Park for the city’s annual Snowfest. At this chilly event, kids can go sledding in the snow in their t-shirts. The event offers a variety of snow-themed activities, craft vendors, and local food booths.

Holiday Tree Lighting

November, exact date TBA

Each year Simi Valley hosts an annual holiday event with a musical act, photos with Santa, and kid’s activities that all culminate in the night’s main attraction: the tree lighting. The event, which has run every year for 20+ years, is typically right before Thanksgiving.

Circus Caballero

December – January, exact dates TBA

Enjoy a night of surprising feats at the animal-free Circus Caballero. You’ll see amazing acrobats, trapeze artists, and comedians during this family-friendly show. The Guadalajara-based act travels to Simi Valley each year and presents their show in Spanish.

Christmas on the Farm

Late November – late December, exact dates TBA

Bring the kids to the Underwood Family Farms for sleigh rides, holiday crafts, duck races, gem mining, and holiday games like Cookie Toss and Ring the Tree. Kids can write a letter to Santa, complete Elf Training, and even visit reindeer on select weekends. The event usually runs for about a month from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

An American Christmas

November – January, exact dates TBA

Head to Ronald Reagan Library to see the annual display of Christmas trees, each reflecting a special era in American History. The display typically runs between Thanksgiving and Christmas and includes special holiday events on the weekends, including pictures with Santa. This holiday event is included in your admission ticket.
